Ernest Williams

On Monday, April 25, 2022, the Lord whispered to his loving servant, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend, your labor is complete.  BeeBee will truly be missed. His memory and service to the Lord will never be forgotten.

 Ernest "BeeBee"Williams was born March 12, 1935, in Vidalia Georgia to parentage of the late James and Daisy Roberson-Williams of Montgomery County, GA.  BeeBee was the third of 12 children. He received his education at the J.D. Dickerson High School and continued his education in the United States Army, serving his country for over 20 years in Vietnam, Korea and Europe. He was a faithful member and servant at Greenforest Community Baptist Church, Decatur, GA.

Ernest married the love if his life Dorothy Day-Williams and after her death, he later married Evelyn Williams until her death.

He was preceded in death by his father James Williams, his mother Daisy Roberson-Williams, his twin, Early Williams, two brothers, James Williams Jr., Rev Roy Lee Williams, and two sisters Annie Pearl Johnson and Mary Frances Singleton.

He accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age at the Second Baptist Church (now Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church) in Vidalia, GA and continued his faithful membership to the church while serving in the United States Army, Washington DC, Decatur, GA until he returned home to Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Vidalia.

 He leaves two sons: Trace (Che) Simmons of Reidsville, GA; Adam (Jessica) Moore of Atlanta, GA

Five Daughters: Eunice (Harvey) Johnson of Atlanta, GA; Michele (Johnny) James of Vidalia, GA, Doretha Murphy, Tabitha (Tyron) Ancrum of Atlanta, GA; Ann Jenning of Vidalia, GA; Patricia (Anthony) Johnson of Savannah GA.  Three Brothers: Willie (Dorothy) Williams of Long Beach, CA; Luther Ray (Gloria) Williams of Vidalia GA; Franklin (Norma) Williams of Vidalia, GA. Three Sisters: Telma Collier of Tacoma, WA, Deloris Williams of Long Beach, CA and Virginia (James) McClendon of Tacoma, WA. A dear friend and loving fiancé, Annette Mitchell of Vidalia, GA; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Public Visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 1 PM until 4 PM, and the family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 4 PM until 6 PM. 

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the Sanctuary of Harvest Time Faith Center in Vidalia, GA.  Bishop Bernard and Valentina Hill is the Pastors. Bishop Vincent R. Drummer will deliver the eulogy.  Interment will follow in East Park Cemetery in Vidalia, GA.   

Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Ernest "BeeBee" Williams.
