Ziahya Griffin of the Toombs County Lady Bulldogs has signed her letter of intent for a scholarship to play softball for the Savannah State University Tigers.

"I chose Savannah State because I wanted to play somewhere close to home. I want to thank my family and coaches for supporting me. I want to study Early Childhood Education and become a teacher and hopefully a softball coach. I am really looking forward to joining the Tiger Nation." Griffin said.

"We are thankful for this opportunity. This has been a day that she has looked forward to since she was five years old and today her dream has been answered. She has worked hard on the field and in the classroom to get to this point. We look forward to her continuing to work throughout her college career." LaTonya Griffin said.

"She has been a four- year starter for us and has really turned it on the last two years. She has been a leader for our program and the first player we have had to sign to play in college.in a while. I am excited for her and they are getting a good one at Savannah State." Toombs County Head Softball Coach Hayne Brant said.
