Mrs. Marjorie Sanders “Margie” Garvin, age 94, of the Marvin Community, died Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Meadows Park and Rehab in Vidalia after an extended illness. She was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, and retired in administration after thirty years from the Georgia Department of Corrections in Reidsville. She was a member of the Providence Missionary Baptist Church. Preceding her in death was parents, Raleigh Sanders and Daisy Jones Sanders; seven sisters and one brother.
Her family includes her husband of fifty years, H.D. “Jack” Garvin of Marvin; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, May 24th, at 11:00 a.m. at Providence Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Farrell officiating. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 until 7:00.
