Mrs. Ann Shaw Phillips, age 71, of Oak Park, died Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness. She was a native of Emanuel County, a 1970 graduate of Swainsboro High School and lived in the Oak Park area most of her life. She was a homemaker, but earlier in her life she worked for Oak Park Manufacturing and Oxford Industries. She was Baptist by faith and enjoyed cross-stitching, reading, cooking and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, Betty Lindsey Shaw; and two brothers, Ricky Shaw and Tony Lee Shaw.
Her family includes her husband of fifty-one years, Wayne Phillips; one daughter, Missy Phillips Beckum; two grandchildren, Tyler Beckum and wife Rebecca and Sienna Strickland; one great-grandson, Luke Beckum, all of Oak Park; three siblings, Chuck Shaw and wife Elizabeth of Lyons, Deborah Martinez and husband Luis, and Ronald “Doodle” Shaw and wife Denise, all of Oak Park; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Friday, September 16th, at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Beckum officiating. Burial will follow at Waters Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until just prior to the service.
