Frank Cranmer

Mr. Frank Cranmer, age 84, of Reidsville, died Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at his home after a sudden illness.  He was a native of Lake Township, Michigan, and later moved to Pomona Park, Florida in 1975 before moving to Reidsville in 2018.  He was a self-employed general contractor and was owner of Dee’s Nursery in Pomona Park.  He was a former member of Word of Faith Baptist Church in Crescent City, Florida and was a current member of East Gordon Street Baptist Church in Lyons.  He enjoyed horticulture, reading westerns, and volunteering for two food banks, including Second Harvest Food Bank in Reidsville.  He is preceded in death by his first wife, Deanie Cranmer; parents, Francis William Cranmer, Sr. and Mary Cranmer; stepson, Danny Kersey; stepson-in-law, Pete Day; and brother, Chuck Cranmer.

His family includes his wife, Bonnie Jackson Kersey Cranmer of Reidsville; six children, Tina Wisnoski and husband Ralph of Florida, Carolyn Putt of Mississippi, Connie Rash and husband Wayne, Charlene Cranmer Dangerfield, Michael Francis Cranmer, all of Florida, and Kerry Gurley and husband Dale of Mississippi; five stepchildren, Sandra Kersey Day of Lyons, Kathy Kersey Marchand and husband Jim of McDonough, Sherry Kersey Chandler and husband Greg of Burke County, Lindy Kersey Horne and husband Keith of Vidalia and Stacy Kersey Todd and husband Ricky of Lyons; one brother, Herb Cranmer of California; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be Saturday afternoon, September 17th, at 3:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Dannie Williams and Pastor Daniel Gilliam officiating.  Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
