The RTCA Crusaders improved their record to 3-3 for the season Friday night with a 55-30 over the Georgia Christian Generals in Dasher, Ga.

The Crusaders took the lead early in the first quarter when Running Back Aaron Hankerson scored on a 77-yard run. RTCA scored again and took a 14-0 lead with 8:19 in the period when DB Jashaun Powell intercepted a Generals’ pass from 35-yards out.

Georgia Christian scored their first TD of the game on 1-yard run from QB Joe Joe Gardner. The PAT was no good. RTCA led 14-6 at the end of the first quarter.

The Generals came back to cut the RTCA lead to 14-13 with another touchdown from Gardner from 2-yards out. The PAT was good.

At the 1:26 mark in the second quarter the Generals took the lead for the first time in the game on a 32-yard field goal. Georgia Christian led 16-14.

RTCA would take the lead with just :30 seconds remaining in the half on a 38-yard touchdown pass from QB T.J. Stanley. Kicker Justin Bowers made the PAT.

Georgia Christian on their next offensive possession would throw a pass that was intercepted by Linebacker Hayden Kight for the Crusaders. RTCA would lead 21-16 at halftime.

The Generals would open the scoring in the second half with 8:22 left in the third quarter on Gardner’s third touchdown of the night from 2-yards out. PAT was good. Generals 23-21.

On the ensuing kickoff Jashaun Powell ran all the way into the endzone from 80-yards out. The PAT was good. Crusaders 28-23.

Georgia Christian would regain the lead with 5:32 left in the third period on a 16-yard touchdown pass. PAT good. Generals 30-28.

Linebacker Cayden Nance would recover a Genarals fumble for the Crusaders with 2:49 left in the third quarter. RB Justin Powell would score on a 42-yard run with 1:48 remaining in the period. Bowers made the PAT. Crusaders 35-30 at the end of the third quarter.

The Crusaders would score three more times in the fourth quarter. Stanley took the ball into the endzone from 27-yards out. Kicker Hayden missed the PAT. RTCA 41-30.

After kickoff that was recovered by the Crusaders, Hankerson scored from 42-yards out with 3:39 left. PAT was good. RTCA 48-30.

Crusader Andrew Tuck would intercept a Gardner pass with 2:45 left in the game.

RTCA would add a touchdown with 2:04 left in the contest when Justin Powell scored from 77-yards. Meeks made the PAT. RTCA 55-30.

The Crusaders are back at home this Friday night hosting St. Andrews at 7:30PM.
