Multiple law enforcement agencies worked today last Friday  in an effort to solve thefts, burglaries, motor vehicle thefts, entering an automobile,  and drug distribution in the area.

According to Vidalia Chief of Police James Jermon, the Vidalia Police Department Investigative Services Division, Toombs County Sheriff’s Office, Lyons Police Department, Georgia Department of Corrections, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Southeastern Regional Drug Enforcement Office executed numerous search warrants at Raymonia Apartments in Vidalia. Those warrants resulted in 8 arrests, and seizures of illegal and prescription drugs as well as currency, cell phones, and other items including the recovery of five stolen firearms.

Arrested were Michael Angelo Mikel, age 32, of Vidalia, who is charged with 1 count of aggravated assault; 1 count of possession with intent to distribute, and 3 counts of felony theft by receiving.

Also arrested was Taleeve Gena Bush, age 40, of Vidalia, who is charged with a felony probation warrant, and 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Rendall Dewayne Williams, age 52, of Ailey, is charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Jaheim Nolan Murff, age 21, of Mount Vernon, is charged with 1 count of  entering an automobile, and 1 count of theft by receiving stolen property.

Dovanni Small, age 17, of Vidalia is charged with 1 count of possession with intent to distribute.

Seventeen year old James Early of Vidalia is charged with 1 count of possession of marijuana (less than one ounce).

And a 16-year-old juvenile from Vidalia is charged with 1 count of entering an automobile, 1 count of theft by taking a motor vehicle, 1 count of felony theft by taking, and 1 count of possession with intent to distribute.

Chief Jermon said he is appreciative to the agencies that assisted in the arrests as well as the Toombs-Montgomery EMS for standing by in case a law enforcement officer of citizen required medical attention.
