The Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Scottie Spikes.
Mr. Spikes was born in Vidalia, Georgia, February 18, 1973 to the late Bennie Ray and Lois Spikes. He entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, after a brief illness.
He attended Toombs County High School. He moved to Florida to further his career in truck driving. A profession in which he stayed in for over 30 years.
Scottie was preceded in death by sisters, Guinal S, Kennedy and Jaunita Goethe, a brother, Alton Spikes, two nephews, Bennie James Hayward II and Earl Spikes Jr., and a niece Jasmine Goethe.
He leaves to mourn; two sons, Scottie W. Spikes, Virginia, Bennie J. Spikes, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; two daughters, Chanel S. Spikes and Sade A. Spikes, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; four brothers, Bennie R. (Twanda) Spikes, Demetrius Spikes, Vidalia, Georgia, Earl (Phyllis) Spikes and Donnie Spikes, both of Lyons, Georgia; four sisters, Delois S. Hayward, Vidalia, Georgia, Wylene (Earl) Cooper, Lyons, Georgia, Kim (Josh)Law, Lyons, Georgia, Tracey Spikes, Statesboro, Georgia, two grandchildren and one special friend, Valarie Barnes and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Public Viewing will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 from 5-7 p.m. at the Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home, 211 W. Liberty Ave., Lyons Georgia.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the Harvest Time Faith Center Church, 506 First Ave., Vidalia Georgia. Burial will follow in the Eternal Glory Gardens, HWY 297 N, Vidalia, Georgia.
