The Toombs County Bulldog Baseball team bounced back with an impressive victory over the Vidalia Indians with a dominant 10-3 win on Wednesday afternoon. The Bulldogs, vying for a chance at the GHSA playoffs, knew the weight this game carried and came out looking to retake control of the series.

Right from the onset, the Bulldogs’ bats were alive with energy. Cameron Ledford and Tucker Braddy kicked off the scoring, each driving in runs in the first inning. The offensive surge continued into the second inning as Brantley Upshaw and Ledford connected for singles, each adding a run to the lead. Jesus Quintero amplified the Bulldogs’ scoring with a two-run double. The DAWGS never looked back from there.

Collectively, the Bulldogs tallied nine hits, with Upshaw, Ledford, and Jackson Jenkins each notching two hits apiece, contributing significantly to the team’s offensive showcase.

TJ Stanley, the right-hander for the Bulldogs, pitched a gem of a game. Over seven innings, his arm was responsible for seven strikeouts, limiting the Indians to just three hits and two earned runs, earning him the win on the mound. His command and control were key components in keeping the Indians at bay throughout the game.

With the win, the Bulldogs have clinched a spot in the GHSA AA playoffs.(Courtesy of Toombs County Athletics0
