Miss Ollie Jean Page, age 87, of Vidalia, died Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia following an extended illness. She was a native of Toombs County and a 1957 graduate of Vidalia High School. She worked at Brewton-Parker College for a few years and later moved to Stockbridge where she was an active member of First Christian Church of Stockbridge. She kept the nursery, worked with the youth and went on mission trips with them as well. She retired from Bell South in Atlanta after more than thirty-three years, retiring in 1996. She returned to Toombs County and became a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, the Busy Bee Sunday School class, and served on the church card ministry. She enjoyed reading, game shows, word search, and spending time with her siblings, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Cary Bradford Page and Veta Mae Webb Page; and three brothers, Ronald “Bo” Page, Charles Page, and Brad Page.
Miss Page is survived by three sisters, Carolyn Page Hamilton of Ailey, Pat Page Lunsford and husband Bob of Lovejoy, and Dawn Page Mobley and husband Loyd of Vidalia; three sisters-in-law, Gloria M. Page of Covington, Sheryl C. Page of Vidalia, and Linda J. Page of Mt. Vernon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday morning, September 15th, 2026, at 11:00 at Tabernacle Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Thompson Randy McDuffie officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.

Lennie Cox Banks, age 93, is now safe in the Arms of her Savior! On September 11, 2026, in the presence of her family, went to her eternal heavenly home. Lennie was born in Lyons, Toombs County, GA on June 14th 1933, to Mack Coy Cox and Mary Elizabeth Cranford Cox. Lennie was number 11 of 14 children and always took pride among her siblings there were 3 sets of twins. While growing up her family lived in Lyons, Scotland and later moved to Savannah. Lennie was the last surviving sibling of the 14 Cox Children. Later in her life Lennie resided in Lyons, Vidalia, Ailey, and as of late in Dublin, GA with her daughter, Elaine and son-in-law, Lock.

In 1948, Lennie, age 15 , married Chester Banks. They were perfect examples of deep love, faith and commitment. Lennie was preceded in death by her husband, Chester. Lennie is survived by their daughter, Elaine Wilford and her husband Lock Wilford, of Dublin, sons Jeffrey Wayne Banks and his wife Debbie, of Augusta, Byron Dennis Banks and his wife, Gwen of Lyons. Her greatest joy was the blessing of her grandchildren. She was the sweetest Granny to Josh and wife Kay, Jason and wife Nicole, Scott and wife Andrea, Jamie and husband Brandon, Lock II, Matthew, Jordan, Canaan and wife Erin, Judah and spouse Nathan, and the greatest of these…… her greats, Hunter, Kaleb, Abbi, Scout, River, Forest, Laven, Lennon, Beasley, Vance, Luke and Reily

Lennie was office manager at The Bank’s Nationwide Insurance Agency for over 40 years; she worked side by side with her husband, Chester and later with her son Dennis. She had the gift of hospitality and took great joy in cooking for family and friends. She was a true Southern cook and she was famous for her buttermilk biscuits, banana cake and banana pudding! Lennie spent hours using her creativity to produce beautiful garments, and home decor! Lennie’s sweet gentle spirit was evidence of her love for Jesus. Lennie was a long-time member of First Baptist Vidalia and formerly First Baptist of Lyons. She loved her Sunday school class, church exercise class and teaching GA’s. Lennie was an avid reader of Christian novels and her Bible!
On the day of her home going Lennie received a new body, she is WALKING all over Heaven, and will be praising her Savior throughout ALL OF ETERNITY!!! Her family is so grateful for the wonderful Legacy, eternal Christian values and seeds of kindness she has sown into our lives. We will hold Lennie close in our hearts until we meet again on that glorious Reunion Day!!!!
The funeral service will be held on Monday afternoon, September 14, 2026, at 3:00 at the First Baptist Church of Vidalia with Reverend Lock Wilford and Reverend Don Moye officiating. Interment will follow at Lyons City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church on Monday afternoon from 2:00 until just prior to the service.
Pallbearers are Jason Hancock, Matthew Banks, Josh Hancock, Jordan Banks, Canaan Banks, Scott Wilford, and Lock Wilford, Jr.

Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Ann Sellers White will be held Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Higgs Funeral Home. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery in Soperton. Reverend Paul Mulling and Brother Greg Martin will officiate. Mrs. White died Thursday, September 10, 2026.
Mrs. White, 76, was the daughter of the late Ruben Dean Sellers and Louise Elizabeth Holland Sellers. She was born on May 3, 1950 in Soperton, GA, attended Treutlen High School and was a former employee of Treutlen Health and Rehab. She was lifelong resident of Treutlen County where she was mainly a housewife and homemaker to her family and she was a Christian by faith. Shirley really loved her family and friends, especially her two sons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald White; two sisters, Barbara S. Mulling and Betty Faye “Betsy” Sellers and her brother, Phillip Roy Sellers.
Survivors include her two sons; Michael (Tina) White and Phillip (Teresa) White, all of Soperton; brother-in-law, Paul Mulling of Soperton; five step-grandchildren; two special friends, Marie Graham and Linda Quigley and several special nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mitch Braddy, Brian Watts, Steven Powell, Mitchell Henry, Phillip Mulling and Justin McNure.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Woodrow Powell, age 90, of Lyons, died Thursday, September 10, 2026, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia following an extended illness. He was a lifelong resident of Toombs County and lived near Lyons all of his life. He was a 1953 graduate of Lyons High School, and served two years in the U.S. Army and two years in the Army National Guard. He worked with the Georgia Department of Transportation for a few years, Chickasha Mobile Homes in Vidalia for several years, and later started his own business that he operated for thirty-five years, Powell Mobile Home Service. He was a member of Snow Hill Community Church for more than sixty years where he taught Sunday school and played guitar. He enjoyed fishing, especially at Lake Sinclair, and watching and coaching his sons and nephews play softball.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Elton Powell and Edna Coe Powell.
Mr. Powell is survived by his loving wife of sixty-nine years, Ellie Palmer Powell of Lyons; two sons, James “J.E.” Powell and wife Pat of Lyons, and Jerry Powell and wife Patricia of Mt. Vernon; two grandchildren, Jamie Powell and wife Jennifer of Oak Park, and Brittany Powell of Lyons; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, Harry Powell and wife Lillian of Lyons; two sisters, Nevelyn Powell Hackle of Jeffersonville, Georgia, and Louise Powell Poole and husband Billy of Lyons; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
The funeral service will be held on Monday morning, September 14th, 2026, at 11:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Jerry Powell and Pastor Kevin Connell officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Patricia Ann Criswell Rushton, age 72, of Vidalia, died Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia after sudden illness. She was born in Macon, moved to Vidalia in 1965, and attended Vidalia High School. She lived in Atlanta and the Atlanta area from 1970 until 1984, returning to Toombs County where she lived the rest of her life. She worked at Winn-Dixie and Bi-Lo in Vidalia for several years, and she was a member of Calvary on Aimwell.
She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Austin “Ken” Rushton; and parents, Robert Elmer Criswell and Effie Mae Cooper Criswell.
Mrs. Rushton is survived by two daughters, Kim Rushton Johnson of Lyons, and Carrie Ann Rushton Mathews Carter of North Carolina; three siblings, Carol Butler and husband Kelton of the Kibbee Community, Tony Criswell and wife Penny of Cedar Crossing, and Mike Criswell and Monica Russ of Michigan; five grandchildren, Brandon Johnson and wife Brittany of Lyons, Chelsea Ramey and husband Fred of Tennessee, Carla Johnson and Tristen Dykes of the Center Community, Carmen Johnson and Trent Reese of Reidsville, and Kenneth Mathews and Matt Harwood of North Carolina; nine great-grandchildren, Mara, Harper, Marcus, Fred, Hiram, Patricia, Victoria, Jacob, and Dray; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday afternoon, September 13th, 2026, at 3:00 at Cedar Crossing Baptist Church with Pastor Reese Mincey officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Crossing Cemetery.
