Toombs County Schools hosted their 2nd annual Downtown Tailgate on September 8th. It was hosted in Downtown Lyons alongside the Lyons Downtown Merchants. In addition to the downtown merchants, 40 booths consisting of various vendors, civic organizations, churches and school groups took part in the event.  Entertainment was provided by the Toombs County Football Cheerleaders, the Toombs County Basketball Cheerleaders and the Redcoat Marching Band.  The finale to the tailgate was the Dawg Walk which consisted of all tailgate attendees and booth participants lining both sides of the street to cheer on the Toombs County Football Team as they made their way down SE Broad Street before heading to The Pit.
