RTCA’s Lower School Student of the Month for August is Weston Sheppard. Weston is the son of Wes and Natalie Sheppard. He has a little brother, Carson, two dogs, Ace and Isabella, three goats, and many chickens. Weston was selected by faculty because he is very helpful with his peers. He made the new student feel welcomed, asked him to play at recess, and helped him in the lunch line. He is a good classroom helper, listens in class, and tries his best. Weston’s favorite subject is math and his favorite color is blue. He enjoys playing football, baseball, and soccer. During his spare time, Weston collects RC cars. When Weston grows up, he wants to be a veterinarian. RTCA congratulates first grader Weston Sheppard.
RTCA's Student of the Month for the Month of August is seventh grader Anna Kate Joyner. Anna Kate is the daughter of Jeremy and Amber Joyner. She has an older sister, Madalyn, who is in the eleventh grade at RTCA.Anna Kate was chosen by faculty because her good attitude and classroom behavior is to be praised. She always comes prepared, is engaged in discussion, and puts all her effort toward completing the assignment at hand. Anna Kate asks considered questions which shows her attention to the subject and makes inferences and sometimes corrections, demonstrating her comprehension. Anna's artistic drive is also to be commended. She puts thought into what she creates and seeks critique to improve her finished works. Anna is a pleasure to have in the art room! Anna Kate participates in middle school softball, basketball, soccer, and track at RTCA. She is a member of Beta Club and 4H. She won the Tales of the Altamaha writing contest and the VFW’s Patriot’s Pen essay contest. During her free time, Anna Kate enjoys traveling, hanging out with friends, and spending time with her family. RTCA congratulates seventh grader Anna Kate Joyner.
RTCA’s High School Student of the Month for August is junior Savannah Moore. Savannah is the daughter of Adam and Lindsey Moore. She has a younger brother, Anderson who is in the 9th grade at RTCA. Savannah was chosen by faculty because she is attentive in class and when she is not sure about something, she always asks questions. She attempts all her work and when she doesn't get it the first time, she sticks with it until she accomplishes the goal. She keeps a smile on her face all day and is a joy to work with and teach. Savannah is a member of the Leo club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She also participates in Varsity Spirit Cheer and Varsity Basketball. When Savannah graduates, she hopes to attend East Georgia College for her core classes and then transfer to Mercer or Georgia Southern University to pursue a degree in Marine Biology.
